The Lagos State Election Petitions Tribunal has released a request testing the triumph of Senator Gbenga Ashafa at the March 28 National Assembly decision.
The tribunal, on Monday, maintained the triumph of Ashafa , who was chosen on the stage of the All Progressives Congress, as the legitimately chose representative speaking to Lagos-East senatorial region.
While responding to the tribunal's judgment, Ashafa hailed the decision of the tribunal, depicting it as another pivotal event when equity coordinated the voice of the masses.
It will be reviewed that soon after the decision, the Peoples Democratic Party had gone to challenge the triumph of the APC applicant at the tribunal.
The PDP asked the tribunal to proclaim its applicant, Mrs. Olabisi Salis-Ayodele, as the champ of the race.

Ashafa expressed gratitude toward all supporters of the APC in Lagos State for their understanding and faithfulness, saying that the decision of the tribunal would give him more opportunity to concentrate on the matter of enactment in the Senate.
He said, "This is not simply my triumph. It's a triumph for popular government and a triumph for the gathering – an impression of how the individuals voted. I trust that the APC as a gathering will accept the command given to it at all levels and keep on strengthenning our majority rule government."
